Welcome to troubleshooting part of Viessmann Boilers Guide. Before starting any work on Viessmann boiler you should be aware working on any gas appliance without having proper qualifications (Gas Safe Registered) is prohibited by law. Whenever you detect the flue gas you should • turn off the heating system • open doors and windows in order to ventilate the room • close all doors to the room When repairing the heating system remember to: • close the main gas shut-off valve and safeguard against unauthorized reopening • isolate the system from the power supply and re-check that it is no longer ‘live’ • protect the system against unauthorized re-connection.
